QUALIFICATIONS OF THE INSPECTOR:

Interesting Fact: Colorado State Law does not currently regulate the Home Inspection Industry. This means that it is possible for an individual to become a Home Inspector without meeting any educational or licensing requirements such as, showing proof of related technical training or substantial past experience, showing proof of membership in a Professional Home Inspection Association, or showing proof of E&O and General Liability Insurance to become a Home Inspector – Isn’t that interesting, if not down-right scary?

This is why it is so very important when shopping around for a Home Inspector to ask questions about the Inspectors Qualifications & Certifications, Membership in Professional Home Inspection Associations, Hours of Annual Home Inspection Training Completed, proof of E&O and General Liability Insurance, Background Experience, How many Property Inspections has the Home Inspector Performed in his/her career, in addition to Pricing. However if you are shopping for Price alone, you will find you may be able to save a few bucks for a less experienced or less qualified Home Inspector, but what will the Home Inspector miss or choose to ignore during the Inspection? Is the risk worth saving a few bucks?
